Sooyong Park is a nature photographer who has devoted over twenty years to photographing the Siberian Tiger, with a lot of footage of the animal being attributed to him. I first came across him when I read his book, "the great soul of Siberia", a book documenting a portion of his experiences photographing Tigers. The book is a mix of more documentative content, such as facts and behaviours of tigers, and information regarding the cultural heritage of the area and its people and their relationship with the tigers.
One of the main reasons I was drawn to his work was because of the nature of his writings, and how he was able to blend the informative and insightful writing, talking about the science and behaviours of the tigers while also giving them characters and telling their stories and the relationships between the individual tigers.
