I began to explore a curiosity for gradual changes, and how something seemingly unchanging can become interesting after a short time.

I began to develop these experiments further, looking at the potential relationships between two or more clips, between the visual and the audible features of each, and an implication of continuity between two separate clips.
I started to look at the more common mundane/ boring moments in life, rather than the plain sights seen on a walk. On a day with seemingly little to do, I set up my camera to capture different moments throughout the time that I was sat in one room, "doing nothing". As I recorded, I became aware of the sounds that were around me, like the turning of a page, the shuffling of some cards, or someones music that was a little too loud, and thought about how they make the scene somewhat more interesting.
I compiled videos of people working, talking, or just messing about, and left the audio as it was, as I felt that the ambient audio brought another element of monotony to the video, rather than creating a new distraction with different audio. I wasn't overall satisfied with the outcome, but it worked as an experiment and as inspiration for further exploration into "still" moments in life, and I began to explore these moments more.
